If we traveled to Mars, how would we survive?
It would be hard to live on Mars, but a lot of scientists are trying to make it so we can live there. There is no oxygen on Mars so we would have to bring our own. It is also very cold there so we would need lots of warm clothes and blankets. We would also need a way of preparing food to eat. Everything we use on Earth we would have to bring to Mars or build there. There is no wood or metals there so we would have to bring those with us to build houses. We could also use the wood to start a fire to cook food until we get electricity working on Mars. I do not think I would want to live there until the scientists make it as good as it is here.

How do you think we would be able to transport all of the materials we would need to space?
ReplyDeleteWhen the astronauts traveled to the moon they brought materials with them in order to collect soil samples. They carried their materials with them in their rocket. I think we would do the same thing to get materials to mars.
ReplyDeleteDo you think the weight and size of the materials would affect how we transport them? What about brick or large pieces of wood?
ReplyDeleteWe might be able to use the rock on Mars' surface as brick so that we would not have to transport that. For the wood, we could probably still sent it up in a rocket, but the size of the rocket and the storage system on the rocket might change depending on the materials being sent to Mars.
